Farsan - Cajun Sweet and Spicy Mix will do
Green Moong Beans (or Moth Beans)- 1 cup overnight soaked and sprouted during the day.
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
1 finely chopped tomato
Cumin-Mustard seeds-Turmeric - Salt 1 teaspoon each
Garlic - 4 cloves
Goda Masala - 1 teaspoon
Red Chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon
4 cups of water
Serving : Coriander Leaves, lemon slices.
Method:
In a pressure cooker, heat ghee on medium flame.
Add the Cumin-Mustard seeds-Turmeric, garlic, Tomato or Kokam
After they cook for 3-4 minutes, Add Goda masala and Red-Chilli Powder, salt.
Add in the sprouted beans and 4 cups of water
Stir for a minute and close the pressure cooker lid.
Let the pressure cooker go for 5-6 whistles. Take it off the flame and let it sit for an hour.
(If you don't have pressure cooker, you may cook it in a pot or slow cooker for 3-4 hours, keep stirring every 15 minutes)
To serve:
Put Farsan in a bowl. Pour the Warm misal on the farsan. Squeeze some lemon on it. Add Cilantro and serve with hot chai.
